Austria

Alizadeh shahram was born in Teheran (iran) okt 1978. He came into this world at the same time as the revolution in Iran, and refers to himself as a revolution child. As a young child he found he had an interest in art.
When just 11 years old he moved with his mother and younger brother to Austria where he has lived for 23 years as a political refugee.
At a young age he was already seeing the social problems in the world which has been the inspiration for his art, with each work reflecting an emotion or an issue that has concerned him. When he was 15 he became homeless for 2 years, during which time he learned a lot about family, society and how fast life can change. In this time he was not able to attend school, having had to work hard for the money to survive, preventing him from following his dream of being an artist.
When he was 23 he found his way back to his old muse (ART). For the first 7 years he workrd with pencil and marker, most of his works being sold as designs for tattoo shops.
This wasn't what he was looking for in the art world. He started to experiment with acrylics and in the last 3 years has sold his works around the world to many art collectors. His work was chosen for the cover art of an award winning book of poetry in 2012, in the USA, and has been published in various art magazines.Having his first organized, solo exhibition in 2012, his work was received amid much positive acclamation.
He is completely self-taught through trial and error and determination, and has never attended art school.
